Bird City Century II Development Foundation Celebrates 12th Annual Match Day

The Bird City Century II Development Foundation (BCCII) recently held its annual Match Day check presentation on the evening of Tuesday, January 27, at the Cheylin High School basketball games. This check presentation marks another successful year of community generosity and local impact.

On December 2, the 12th Annual Bird City Match Day brought donors together from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., raising $108,815.55 in just 12 hours. During Match Day, BCCII matches every dollar donated at a one-to-one rate, doubling the impact of each contribution. Because of this match, a total of $203,656.10 was distributed to local organizations during the check presentation.

This year, 32 organizations received funding. Twenty-seven organizations were eligible for matching funds, and additional organizations received donations that were not eligible for the match. These organizations provide essential programs, services, and opportunities that directly benefit the Cheylin community.

Now in its 12th year, Bird City Match Day continues to grow in both participation and impact. Over the past 12 years, Match Day has generated a grand total of $1,555,702.44, all of which has been reinvested into local projects, organizations, and initiatives that strengthen the community.

BCCII extends its sincere appreciation to the donors whose generosity made this event possible. Every donation, regardless of size, helped support local schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, and community programs that make Cheylin a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Match Day serves as a reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared purpose. BCCII is proud to continue facilitating this opportunity for local giving and community growth.

Planning is already underway for next year’s event. The 2026 Bird City Match Day is scheduled for December 1, 2026. BCCII looks forward to another year of partnership, generosity, and impact.
