The Bird City Century II Development Foundation (BCCII) is a community foundation that connects generous donors with worthy causes to address the growing needs within the Bird City/Cheylin community. BCCII was founded in 1985 with remaining funds from the centennial celebration earlier that year. In 2009, realizing the benefits to regionalization, the Bird City Century II Development Foundation created and affiliated with (GNWKCF) – a 501(c)(3) public charitable non-profit organization. Following a decade of internal growth - but not yet able to pass the IRS public support test - BCCII transitioned to a supporting organization of GNWKCF, a change in tax-structure that provided a more independent governing framework while maintaining its recognition as a public charity.
